In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA investigative Committee charge was pressed against a man, born in 1973, for 26 year-old Qristine Arzumanyan’s murder.
 

It was earlier informed that on January 13, 2017 a call was received from Yerevan resident informing that her friend Qristine Arzumanyan, born in 1990, on December 27, 2016 got in a taxi near a supermarket in Bagratunyats Street to return home but she did not return home and since then she has not heard from her.
 

In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case a number of circumstances, motive, crime site were found, the person having committed the apparent crime was identified.
 

Through preliminary investigation the taxi driver, whose car the victim got in on December 27, was identified. According to actual data, the victim frequently used his service and on the day of the incident asked him to drive her to Sisian. On the way – in the car a row over money erupted during which the man hit the girl on her face for 2-3 times then pressed her neck with hands for a few minutes and suffocated her through strangling illegally depriving her from life then he threw the body in the canyon near the traffic circle of Yeraskhavan village.
 

On the base of the sufficient evidence on January 22 charge was pressed against G. Yeghiazaryan according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code, the investigator submitted a motion to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of the case.
