In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of hooliganism committed with a weapon near the restaurant “Urartu” were found, the person who had fired shots was identified.
 

On March 10, 2016 at 19:30 a row erupted near the restaurant “Urartu” located in Khanjyan Street, Gyumri and during the row a shot was fired.
 

A criminal case was initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 4 of the Article 258, the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.
 

In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case it was found that on March 10, 2016 at 19:30 the resident of Gyumri A. Ghazaryan also participated in the argument with participation of M. and P. Zargaryans near the restaurant “Urartu” located in Khanjyan Street, Gyumri. A. Ghazaryan shot fires with a rifle he had with him and escaped. The latter was arrested on March 16.
 

On the base of the obtained evidence on March 18 the investigator made a decision to involve A. Ghazaryan as a defendant according to the Part 4 of the Article 258 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.
 

In the framework of the criminal case two more persons are suspected of committing a crime envisaged by the Part 3 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code and signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against them.
 

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing. Necessary investigatory and procedural measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, objective investigation of circumstances of the case, to verify the circumstances indicated in the testimonies.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
