Charged with illegal procurement and keeping of ammunition

On the base of the evidence obtained in the framework of the criminal case investigated in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee a decision was made to initiate a new criminal case according to the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code on discovering 488 bullets through search conducted on July 1 and to separate it in a separate proceeding.
 

 It was earlier informed that on July 1, 2016 searches were conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases on illegal procurement, keeping, transportation of weapons and ammunition with prior agreement by a group of persons. As a result, several documents, materials were confiscated. Besides, 469 bullets of 5.45 mm caliber, 10 bullets of 7.62 mm caliber and 9 bullets of 5.6 mm caliber were found and confiscated.
 

According to initial data, the person, who was keeping the discovered bullets, T. Manukyan is not related to illegal procurement and keeping of weapon and ammunition with prior agreement by a group of persons, thus a new criminal case was initiated on the part of discovering the bullets according to the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code and a separate proceeding was separated. Charge was pressed against T. Manukyan according to the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. A motion was submitted to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him, the motion was sufficed.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
