Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on abuse of official position, official forgery committed by the Head and Deputy Head of Arzakan community was completed in Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
 

Through preliminary investigation it was found that the Head of Arzakan community of Kotayq region N. Movsesyan directed the works of the committee formed for assessing the damage inflicted to the villagers in the result of strong wind in November, 2015, through prior agreement with deputy head P. Khachaturyan, out of group interests, they willfully used their official position against interests of service.
 

Particularly, N. Movsesyan and P. Khachaturyan inflated the real volume of the damage and based on them formed forged acts with added data.  On the base of the mentioned acts financial compensation was provided by the Regional Administration of Kotayq thus inflicting significant damage to legal interests of the state.
 

On the base of the evidence obtained during pretrial proceeding charges were pressed against N. Movsesyan and P. Khachaturyan according to the Part 1 of the Article 308 (abuse of official authorities) and the Part 1 of the Article 314 (official forgery) of RA Criminal Code.
 

The criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to Court of First Instance of Kotayq region.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
