A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on inflicting firearm injury to the employee of petrol station.

On December 15, 2017 a call was received from “Erebuni” medical center informing that the resident of Yerevan L. Gabrielyan, born in 1997, with “firearm injury on the foot” was taken to them.

In the result of urgent measures it was found that the young man had sustained the mentioned injury during the argument that took place in the hall next to the petrol station operating in Armenakyan Street. Pursuant to initial data, one of the customers, arguing with the injured, fired towards the latter’s foot with a firearm that was with him inflicting bodily injury to his right foot in the result of which the work of the petrol station was also disrupted.

On the same day a criminal case was initiated in Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 4 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code, an investigatory group was formed. In the result of investigatory actions of great volume the motive of the argument was found, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified. The relevant subdivisions of the police were tasked to take measures to find and bring him to the investigative body.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
