In the result of urgent investigatory and operative-searching actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of inflicting heavy bodily damage to 55 year-old man in Vanadzor were found. The suspect was arrested.   

On July 15, 2017 a call was received informing that a resident of Vanadzor, born in 1962, with a diagnosis of «cerebral injury, abrasion of apical region of the head, linear fracture of skull bone» was taken to a medical center.

In the result of urgent investigatory and other procedural actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case the site where the man had sustained bodily injuries, the circumstances were found. Pursuant to initial data, the 55 year-old man had been inflicted heavy bodily injury during the brawl that took place in the yard of one of the houses of Vanadzor town.

On July 15 a criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Lori Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 and the Article 118 of RA Criminal Code.

Inspection of the site was conducted during which a hammer was found and confiscated. Pursuant the initial data, the hammer is the crime tool. Forensic examinations were commissioned.  

In the result of urgent investigatory and operative-searching actions the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a 35 year-old resident of Vanadzor town. On July 16 the latter was arrested and interrogated.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
