In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of inflicting Artyom Yaribekyan heavy bodily damages in Vanadzor were found, search was declared against the person having committed the apparent crime.

On January 8, 2016 at 16:00 a call was received from “Vanadzor Medical Center” CJSC informing that the resident of Vanadzor Artyom Yaribekyan, born in 1982, was taken to the mentioned medical center with “cut-pierced penetrating wound on the left half of the frontal part of the abdomen”.

A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of investigatory actions and operative intelligence measures conducted in the framework of the criminal case, on January 8, 2016 at about 14:00 on the crossway of Paruyr Sevak and Avetisyan streets of Vanadzor the resident of the same town E. Vardanyan  argued with Artyom Yaribekyan for blocking his way in the car. During the row E. Vardanyan willfully struck A. Yaribekyan on different parts of his body with a sharp cutting-piercing item inflicting the latter heavy bodily damage.

On the base of the obtained evidence on January 20, 2016 a decision was made to involve E. Vardanyan as a defendant according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. On the same day detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him and search was declared.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, complete, objective investigation of circumstances of the case, to find E. Vardanyan who is under persecution.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
