On February 17, 2017 materials prepared on the base of a citizen’s report were received from the Police pursuant to which on February 16, 2017 the citizen’s friend H. Siradaryan and his cousin A. Oskanyan demanded to return debt during which he was kept in the car against his will and was not allowed to get out of it with threats to use violence dangerous for health.  
 

Considering that the materials contain crime elements envisaged by the Points 1 and 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 133 of RA Criminal Code on February 17 a criminal case was initiated in Abovyan Investigative Division of Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
 

Taking the public interest into consideration we inform that according to initial data obtained through investigation on February 16 at about 17:00 at the area near the shop “Roberto” located in Leningradyan Street, Yerevan they pushed N. Berberyan into the car, drove to Abovyan town, against his will and threatening to use violence dangerous for life they illegally deprived him of the right to move freely and demanded to return the debt of 1.500.000 AMD.
 

On February 17 A. Oskanyan and H. Siradanyan were arrested on suspicion of committing crime envisaged by the Points 1 and 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 133 of RA Criminal Code. They refused to give testimony.
 

Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of all circumstances of the case, to verify the circumstances mentioned by the affected.
 

Information on investigation results will be provided periodically.
