Investigation is conducted in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out all circumstances of squandering in particularly large amount, abusing official authorities and official forgery committed in municipality of Ani.

Pursuant to initial data, a number of officials of municipality of Ani, Shirak province reaching prior agreement to swindle by squandering state property in particularly large amount entrusted to them committed squandering using their official position against service interests, out of mercenary motives, using official authority.

That is, entering obviously false information in official documents on material resources, from 2013 to October, 2018 data on more expenses than it was spent on fuel for transport means in the balance of municipality were entered.

Pursuant to initial data, data on more expenses for petrol in particularly large amount - 2.550 liters, compressed gas worth 3.767.090 AMD were entered. Also data on 400.000 AMD were entered for capital reparation of the car of “GAZ-53” make. But the mentioned car was not actually repaired and the above-mentioned was swindled by squandering.

Besides, abusing official authorities the officials of municipality took a citizen employed in another state institution as a driver and from 2013 to June 2018 paid him 4.327.302 AMD as a salary causing pecuniary damage in particularly large amount to the state.

Considering that in the prepared materials there are apparent elements of abuse of official authorities, squandering in large amount and official forgery, a criminal case was initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 314, the Part 2 of the Article 308 and the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 179 of RA Criminal Code.

Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to find out all circumstances of the case, to clarify the frame of those having committed the alleged crime, to personalize the actions of each of them and to give them criminal legal assessment.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
