Criminal Case Initiated on Car Accident that Caused Four Persons’ Death; Truck Driver Arrested
A criminal case was initiated in Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on car accident that caused four persons’ death.
Pursuant to initial data, on October 16, 2018 at about 18:00 the IRI citizen driving a truck of “Scania” make on Yerevan-Meghri road crashed the car of “VAZ 2107” driving in the same direction. As a result, the driver of the car of “VAZ 2107” and three passengers died of bodily injuries they had sustained.
A criminal case was initiated in Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 3 of the Article 242 of RA Criminal Code.
Inspection of the scene was conducted, forensic medical examination of the body was commissioned.
On October 17, 2018 the truck driver was arrested.
Preliminary investigation is conducted.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
