A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on convict Telman Alaverdyan’s escape from “Norq” infectious hospital.

On November 10, 2017 the convict of “Nubarashen” penitentiary of the RA Ministry of Justice Telman Alaverdyan, born in 1987, was taken to “Norq” infectious hospital because of health problems and was kept in the ward of the 5^th adult department of the mentioned hospital. Pursuant to initial data, taking advantage of official negligence displayed by the employees of “Nubarashen” penitentiary of the RA Ministry of Justice, on November 14 at about 04:00 he entered the bathroom then escaped through the door to the open balcony.

A criminal case was initiated according to the Parts 1 of the Article 315 and the Article 355 of RA Criminal Code, necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of all circumstances of the case.

In the result of searching measures taken in the framework of the criminal case the convict, who had escaped, was found.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
