The criminal case initiated on assaulting citizens and using violence against them by masked people at the junction of Erebuni and Nor-Aresh 26th Streets on April 22 was received in the proceeding of the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

On April 22, 2018 a report was received from a citizen informing that on the same day at about 13:00 during the peaceful march at the junction of Erebuni and Nor-Aresh 26th Streets masked people assaulted him and a number of citizens involved in the march, hit them with stones, blackjacks and electric shock devices. As a result, some of the people involved in the march sustained bodily injuries.

A criminal case was initiated in Prosecution Office of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts according to the Part 2 of the Article 225 of RA Criminal Code which was sent to the RA IC Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department for conduction of preliminary investigation.

The criminal case was received in the investigator's proceeding and preliminary investigation is conducted. Necessary investigatory and operative-searching measures are taken to find out all circumstances of the case, to identify the people having committed the alleged crime.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
