In December, 2020 on an unspecified day and hour, out of motives of national, race or religious hate or fanatism, for the purpose of deprivation of two and more people from life, a number of servicemen of the enemy by using firearms murdered 9 servicemen of the combat duty personnel in combat positions located at the area of Hin Tagher and Khtsaberd villages of Hadrut region of the Republic of Artsakh.    

During preliminary investigation necessary investigatory and other procedural actions including external inspections of the bodies were conducted. As a result, sufficient evidence of torture were obtained, four of the bodies were identified.

During preliminary investigation of the criminal case data were obtained that from 27 September during the aggressive war unleashed by the leadership of the Republic of Azerbaijan with serious violations of international humanitarian law during armed conflicts the enemy subjected 7 servicemen of the combat duty personnel in combat positions located at the area of Hin Tagher and Khtsaberd villages of Hadrut region of the Republic of Artsakh deprived of means of protection to inhuman treatment and torture.

A criminal case was initiated in the Second Garrison Unit according to the Points 1, 7 and 13 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 (murder) and the Point 2 of the Part 1 of the Article 390 (serious violation of international humanitarian law during armed conflicts) of RA Criminal Code.

Preliminary investigation is conducted.
