The criminal case initiated on using violence against the employee of penitentiary by the convict was received in the proceeding of Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

Pursuant to initial data, on July 30, 2018 33 year-old convict displayed an aggressive behavior in “Armavir” penitentiary of the RA Ministry of Justice and argued with the chief specialist of the penitentiary – captain of justice over his characteristics made by the chief specialist.

The convict scolded and, pursuant to criminal case data, threatened to use violence, pulled from the captain’s uniform and shoulder straps. Other employees of the penitentiary being in the 5^th section intervened to the incident.

On August 22, 2018 a criminal case was initiated by the investigator of “Armavir” penitentiary of the RA Ministry of Justice according to the Part 1 of the Article 316 of RA Criminal Code which was sent to Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to investigatory subordination. On the same day the criminal case was received in the proceeding of Vagharshapat Investigative Division.

Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to find out all circumstances of the case, to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
