In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions of great volume conducted during preliminary investigation of the criminal case investigated according to the Part 2 of the Article 308 of RA Criminal Code in the Division of Investigation of Grave Crimes of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee actual data were obtained on the allegation that during his tenure the former RA Minister of Education and Science allegedly committed a crime envisaged by the Part 2 of the Article 308 of RA Criminal Code (abuse of official authority which negligently caused grave consequences).

On May 12, 2020 a new criminal case was initiated according to the Part 2 of the Article 308 of RA Criminal Code which was combined to the above-mentioned criminal case.

Considering that the investigation of cases on crimes committed by leading staff of the RA legislative, executive and judicial bodies related to their official position is conducted by investigators of Special Investigatory Service, the criminal case was sent to Special Investigatory Service for further investigation.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
