Criminal Proceeding Initiated on Attempt to Use Apparent Violence against RA Prime Minister
During the visit to Yeghegnadzor community of Vayots Dzor region paid by the RA Prime Minister on April 10, 2023, at about 13:15 a 47 year-old woman approached the crossroad of the 8th, 14th and Central new built streets of Malishka settlement.
Not obeying the numerous legal requirements of the police officers and ignoring their urges, at about 14:40 in the yard of one of the houses of the settlement, with the intent to interfere with the legal service activity of the RA Prime Minister, the woman attempted to use violence against Nikol Pashinyan, that is she willfully threw the umbrella towards the RA Prime Minister.
The mentioned person was arrested on the base of reasonable suspicion of crime committal and was brought to the investigative body.
A criminal proceeding was initiated in Vayots Dzor Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 3 of the Article 44-452 of RA Criminal Code.
Preliminary investigation is conducted within the framework of which the circumstances of the case are being found out.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
