Investigative and procedural actions are conducted within the framework of the criminal proceeding investigated in Charentsavan Investigative Division of Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out circumstances of murder of 35 year-old resident of Arzakan village and murder attempt against 57 year-old resident of the same village.

The call on murder attempt was received on August 27, 2022 at 05:40 from the resident of the mentioned village informing that on the same day at about 03:30 their neighbor – 46 year-old man entered their bedroom through the open window, beat her husband, stabbed him on different parts of his body causing bodily injuries. Meanwhile she was also stabbed on the right elbow after which the neighbor fled dropping the knife.

A criminal proceeding was initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 44-155 and the Part 1 of the Article 207 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of necessary measures taken within the criminal proceeding in the bedroom of 46 year-old man’s house the latter’s wife’s body with her neck severed partially was found on the bed.

A criminal proceeding was initiated according to the Point 9 of the Part 2 of the Article 155 of RA Criminal Code which was combined to the above-mentioned criminal proceeding.

Through inspection of the scene conducted during preliminary investigation 2 knives which were the instrument of the crime, as well as blood-like traces were found and taken, a number of people were questioned, forensic medical examination was commissioned. Measures are taken to find 46 year-old man.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
