Armenian Delegation Took Part in Training Course on “Cybercrime Prevention and National Cooperation”

From May 12 to 14, 2025 the Armenian delegation headed by Vazgen Avetisyan, Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Head of General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases, took part in three-day international training course on “Cybercrime Prevention and National Cooperation” held by Regional Centre for Combatting Cybercrime of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Doha.
Heads of the Department for Investigation of Cybercrime and High Technology Crime and the Department for Investigation of General and Election-Related Crimes of the Investigative Committee, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Prosecutor’s Office, National Security Service, Ministry of High-Tech Industry and judicial system were in the delegation.
The training course is aimed at deepening professional skills in the areas of prevention, investigation of cybercrime, and international cooperation.
At the beginning of the meeting the Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee Vazgen Avetisyan thanked and emphasized that the Armenian delegation attaches importance to such cooperation, as combatting crimes is also of particular importance for the Republic of Armenia.
“I am confident that our partners will apply the knowledge exchanged during the visit in their daily work. I believe that through joint efforts we will be able to ensure the continuity of cooperation”, noted Vazgen Avetisyan.
Emphasizing the importance of further cooperation with the UNRCCC, Vazgen Avetisyan expressed readiness to contribute to the implementation of bilateral and multilateral initiatives in the context of the fight against cybercrime.
As a result of the training, practical skills were acquired in the areas of electronic evidence research, searching and recording data from open sources on the Internet, their research and analysis, neutralizing cyber threats and conducting effective investigations, as well as protecting human rights, children and vulnerable groups in cyberspace.
