In the result of urgent investigative and procedural actions conducted in Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of murder of 23 year-old resident of Ijevan community committed some days ago were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of the same community, born in 1990.

Pursuant to factual data obtained through investigation, on August 21, 2022 at about 20:00 a row on money issues erupted between the mentioned 23 year-old young man and 32 year-old resident of Ijevan community in the latter’s car of “VAZ 2121” make which went on in the field adjoining Vazashen settlement. During the argument 32 year-old man stabbed the young man for numerous times with a knife he had taken from the car on different parts of his body illegally depriving him of life.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 32 year-old man according to the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 155 of RA Criminal Code. A motion on using detention as a pretrial measure against him was submitted to court. It was sufficed.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to find out all circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
