In the framework of the criminal case initiated on suicide committed by the resident of Shirak region Arshak Grigoryan active investigatory actions are ongoing in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of circumstances of the case.
 

Highlighting RA citizens’ right to receive verified and reliable information we declare that the information on the allegation that A. Grigoryan’s body was found in their garage but not in the basement disseminated by one of the newspapers on September 28 is falsehood and is not based on factual circumstances of the case and is meant to misinform the public by false “information” and overshadow the work of the investigative body.  
 

Thus, the call, informing that the young man with a firearm injury was taken to medical center, was received by law enforcement bodies from Gyumri medical center on September 20, 2016.  He was identified; he was a resident of Gyumri, Arshak Grigoryan, born in 1990 and necessary urgent investigatory actions were conducted to find the circumstances of sustaining a firearm injury, to find the site.
 

As a result, it was found that A. Grigoryan was found with a firearm injury and was taken to medical center by his relatives who were interrogated.
 

According to the testimony of the victim’s cousin H. Harutyunyan, A. Grigoryan’s body was found by him in the basement lying on the back with bloody head. He immediately called the relatives and holding him from under his arms took Arshak to the door of the basement where the relative approached and they took Arshak out of the basement. Receiving mother’s call Arshak’s brother came home and they took him to medical center.
 

H. Harutyunyan’s testimony was also confirmed by the testimonies of the victim’s family, through the results of inspection of the site - basement mentioned by them where blood traces, rifle of “Makarov” type charged with bullets, a capsule and a bullet, traces of dragging the person over the ground of the basement were found. Necessary samples were taken, the clothes of the victim, as well as of the relative who had found him were confiscated. Forensic examinations were commissioned to find a number of circumstances significant for the criminal case, including forensic medical, forensic finger print, forensic biological, forensic ballistic examinations.
 

Taking public interest towards the criminal case into consideration the investigative body respecting protection of personal data has periodically provided and is providing information on the results of investigation as much as it does not hinder the investigation of the case.
 

Earlier it was stated that A. Grigoryan with a firearm injury was found in the basement of the house which has not been doubted by his relatives up to now.
 

It is obvious that the news agency provides its readers with false information. We do not accept that unconscientious journalism may make the tragic incident a subject of speculation.
