A criminal case was initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on 56 year-old man's stabbing. One person was arrested.

On April 17, 2019 at 21:40 a call was received from «Gyumri Medical Center» CJSC informing that the resident of Gyumri, born in 1962, with «cut-pierced wound on the left part of the chest» was taken to medical center.

On April 18, 2019 a criminal case was initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. 56 year-old man was found the injured party and questioned.

Pursuant to initial data, the injured sustained the mentioned bodily injuries at his friend's during the row erupted on domestic matters.

In the result of urgent investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures a number of circumstances of the incident, the scene were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Gyumri town, born in 1964. On April 18, 2019 the latter was arrested on suspicion of stabbing his friend.

Forensic medical examination was commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
