Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on murder of Deputy Chief of Police adjunct to RA Government Gevorg Mheryan is ongoing in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of RA Investigative Committee.
 

Taking the public interest into consideration, in response to mass media requests we clarify that during preliminary investigation of the criminal case data were obtained on the allegation that during the implementation of work directed at revealing murder some officials, considered special entity, have apparently abused their official authorities.
 

In the framework of the criminal case on murder of Deputy Chief of Police on March 27, 2015 a new criminal case was initiated in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of RA Investigative Committee on abuse of official authorities by some officials according to the Article 308 of RA Criminal Code. It was separated as a separate proceeding and sent to RA Prosecutor’s Office to be sent according to investigatory subordination.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
