In the result of necessary investigatory actions conducted within the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of inflicting heavy bodily damage to 63 year-old resident of Yerevan were found out. Charge was pressed against the latter's relative.

On May 1, 2019 a citizen submitted a report to Shengavit Division of the Police informing that on the same day at about 19:40 the residents of Mantashyan Street of Yerevan – father and son in the same street argued with him, his father and brother during which father and son hit them with hands, feet, stone and wood on the head and different parts of their bodies.

In the result of measures taken on the base of the report it was found out that the father of the citizen having submitted a report, born in 1956, had been caused heavy bodily injuries.

On May 2 a criminal case was initiated in Prosecution Office of Shengavit administrative district according to the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code which on the same day was received in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district for conduction of preliminary investigation.

During preliminary investigation the residents of Yerevan, born in 1956, 1978 and 1982  were found the injured party and questioned, inspection of the scene was conducted, forensic medical examinations were commissioned, the videos of the mentioned incident captured by the cameras located at the scene were confiscated.

In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions of great volume conducted within the criminal case a number of circumstances, the motive were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Yerevan, born in 1977.

Pursuant to data obtained through investigation on May 1, 2019 at about 19:40 in Mantashyan Street of Yerevan the 42 year-old man together with his son argued about disagreements they had had before with his relatives who lived in the neighborhood. During the argument he hit them with hands and feet, as well as with a blackjack on different parts of their bodies inflicting bodily injuries. Then continuing his criminal actions 42 year-old man, taking a stone from the ground, hit first one of the sons then father on the head causing the latter heavy bodily injury threatening to life.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 42 year-old resident of Yerevan according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 and the Article 118 of RA Criminal Code (2 counts). Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
