Investigation is conducted in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find the reasons of newborn baby’s death in medical center.
 

On April 4, 2017 a report was received from citizen informing that in the result of improper implementation of professional duties by the doctor of maternity hospital his son died 2 days after he was born.
 

Pursuant to initial data, on April 1 the citizen’s wife was taken to maternity hospital with an appropriate referral where caesarean surgery had to be carried out. On April 2 the woman gave birth to a baby boy and on April 4 the doctors told her husband that the child died of health problems.
 

A criminal case was initiated according to the Part 2 of the Article 130 of RA Criminal Code. Forensic medical examination of the body was commissioned.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing, necessary investigatory actions are conducted to find the circumstances of the newborn baby’s death.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
