Investigation is conducted in the Ninth Garrison Investigative Unit of General Military Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find the circumstances of death of the serviceman of border troops of the RA National Security Service, soldier Gevorg Khachatryan.

On November 28, 2015 at 23:35 a call was received in the Ninth Garrison Investigative Unit of General Military Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee informing that on the same day at about 22:50 the serviceman of frontier post, soldier Gevorg Khachatryan sustained a firearm injury and was taken to the medical center of the military unit. It was found that G. Khachatryan had sustained a firearm injury on his jaw and died in the medical center. 

Immediately after receiving the call, the investigative operative group headed by the Deputy Head of the Ninth Garrison Investigative Unit of General Military Investigative Department left for the site. According to initial data the serviceman had sustained the firearm injury through the firearm AK-74 N 147 9229 attached to him. Through the external inspection of the body a firearm injury, as well as scratches on the legs were found.

It was also found that the serviceman had had a telephone conversation before he sustained a bodily injury dangerous for life.

A number of working hypotheses have been worked out and necessary investigative measures are taken to verify them. Forensic examinations have been commissioned.
