A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on theft by illegal entering into a warehouse or facility.

On January 30, 2019 a call was received in the RA Police Division of Arabkir informing that the person having committed the alleged crime illegally entered the hall of one of the floors of the administrative building located at Baghramyan 26, opened the wooden showcase lock through technical means and swindled 4 of the medals that were in the showcase.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Point 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 177 of RA Criminal Code.

On the same day - on January 30 inspection of the scene was conducted. Forensic fingerprint and forensic genetic examinations were commissioned, over two dozens of people were questioned.

On January 31 information was received in the investigative body that the medals which had been apparently stolen were in their place.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to identify the person who stole the medals on January 30 and returned them on January 31, as well as to find out the circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
