A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on murder attempt against 68 year-old woman.
 

On March 28, 2016 at 22:15 a report was received informing that someone had attacked one of the residents of residential buildings located in A. Khachatryan Street, injured her and escaped, however he did not steal anything.
 

Necessary measures were taken in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district to find all the circumstances.
 

According to initial data, on the day of the incident the hostess was at home and hosted one of the relatives of her husband. The latter visited the woman between 20:30 and 21:00, had coffee then asked for the second cup of coffee. While going to the living-room with the cup in her hand the woman felt a strong blow on her head after which the man pushed her to the armchair and pressed the pillow on her face when the latter began to cry and call for help. The woman subjected to violence managed to hit the small table with her foot which overturned.  Hearing noise the neighbor approached the entrance door and knocked asking what was going on. The hosted man pushing the elderly woman to the floor escaped through the balcony of the second floor.
 

The woman, born in 1948, was taken to medical center with a diagnoses of “craniocerebral trauma”.
 

Considering that in the prepared materials there are features of crime – murder attempt envisaged by the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 of RA Criminal Code a criminal case was initiated in Arabkir Investigative Division.
 

Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of circumstances of the case. The relevant subdivision of the police has been tasked to take measures to find the person hosted by the injured resident  and bring him to the investigative body.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
