In the result of comprehensive investigation conducted in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee real circumstances of sustaining injuries by the resident of Nor Kharberd were found out; sufficient evidence were obtained that the young man had sustained the injuries in the result of committing murder attempt.

On October 4, 2019 at 05:50 a call was received from «Armenia» medical center in Shengavit Police Division informing that the resident of Nor Kharberd, born in 1989, with scratches on the head was taken to medical center. On the same day a 20 year-old resident of the same district with heavy bodily injuries threatening to life was also taken to medical center. In the result of medical intervention his life was saved.

In the result of operative-intelligence measures data were obtained on the allegation that 30 year-old man had sustained bodily injuries during the argument. However, the person who had been taken to medical center, mentioned in his explanations that he did not know those who had beaten him refusing to submit a report about crime.

In the result of urgent measures a number of circumstances of sustaining injuries by 30 year-old man, the scene were found out, those involved in the incident were identified who are all residents of the same district. It was found out that 20 year-old young man had sustained bodily injuries in the result of being run over and during preparation of materials in the police those who had run over the young men told that it was just an accident.

During preparation of materials the video captured by the cameras located at the scene were received and inspected.

A criminal case was initiated in the Prosecution of Shengavit administrative district according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 258 and the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 of RA Criminal Code which was sent to the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district and received in proceeding.

During preliminary investigation a number of investigatory actions were conducted – inspection of the scene, interrogations, forensic medical examination was commissioned to find out the gravity degree of bodily injuries caused to the injured and a number of other circumstances.

Pursuant to investigation data, on October 3, 2019 from 23:00 to 23:30 in front of the shop operating in Nor Kharberd district of Yerevan a row on scolding erupted between the residents of the same district – 30 year-old man and 20 year-old young man and his friends during which 30 year-old man together with his three friends scolded for a long time threatening to use a knife roughly violated the public order.

After the argument the latter left the scene with his friends in the car however, taking what had happened to heart, with the purpose of illegal deprivation of life of 20 year-old man and his friends, with his friends returned to the scene in the car driven by him where he drove towards 20 year-old young man standing on the road, the latter's friends and two more persons who had come to the scene after the argument.

Pursuant to data obtained through investigation 30 year-old man, having an opportunity to brake the car did not do it and 20 year-old young man was run over sustaining heavy bodily injuries threatening to life. 30 year-old man attempted to leave the scene but the car hit the electricity pillar and stopped after which he and his friends got out of the car and fled.

In the result of urgent investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures 30 year-old man was found and brought to the investigative body.

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against him according to the Points 6 and 10 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 4 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code. The investigator submitted a motion to court to choose detention as a pretrial measure against him. It was sufficed.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of the case, to verify the circumstances mentioned in testimonies, to find out the whole frame of those involved in the incident, to personalize the actions of each of them and to give them appropriate criminal legal assessment.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
