Within the criminal case investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee the person suspected of committing murder attempt against 27 year-old man was arrested.

It was earlier informed that on September 19, 2019 the resident of Vanadzor, born in 1991, with firearm injury on the head was taken to «Vanadzor Medical Center» CJSC.

A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 of RA Criminal Code. Investigatory actions of great volume were conducted to find out all circumstances of the case. As a result, a number of circumstances of causing the young man firearm injury – the scene, the motive were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Vanadzor, born in 1988.

Through preliminary investigation it was found out that the person having committed the alleged crime went in his acquaintance’s car to meet 27 year-old man and out of revenge shot fires from a hunting gun which was in his bag towards the latter and fled.   

In the result of investigatory actions of great volume and operative-intelligence measures 30 year-old man having committed the alleged crime surrendered himself to the investigative body. He was arrested and questioned.

It was earlier informed that the driver of the mentioned car was also found. The latter was involved as a defendant according to the Part 1 of the Article 334 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Forensic medical, forensic ballistic and forensic trace examinations were commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Urgent investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to find out all circumstances, to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
