On 26 August, 2021 at 14:30 the resident of Gyumri town submitted a report in Mush Police Division informing that on 22 August an unknown user of “facebook” social network made offensive remarks on facebook page of “National Value” club. Related to it he called the latter and arranged to meet in front of Gyumri branch of the RA University of Economics. As a result, on 23 August at about 18:00 when they met, the stranger getting out of the car hit him with an axe on his left hand causing bodily injury.

In the result of taken measures data were obtained on the allegation that on 23 August, 2021 at about 18:30 in the above-mentioned place the person having committed the alleged crime, for the purpose of illegal deprivation of the resident of Gyumri, attacked the latter with an axe in his hand and tried to stab him on the head. However, avoiding the stabs the latter tried to keep his head with the hand in the result of which the stab directed to the head touched his hand. As a result, the resident of Gyumri received bodily injury.

A criminal case was initiated in Mush Police Division according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 of RA Criminal Code preliminary investigation of which is conducted in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

In the result of urgent investigative and other procedural actions as well as operative measures the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is also a resident of Gyumri, born in 1983.

The latter was arrested on suspicion of committing murder attempt against his fellow-citizen.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
