Investigation is conducted in Stepanavan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out all circumstances of 46 year-old man's murder. 20 year-old resident of Lori was arrested on suspicion of committing the alleged crime.

On August 18, 2019 a call was received in Stepanavan Division of the RA Police informing that 46 year-old man's house was on fire and his body was found there.

Pursuant to initial data, on August 17, 2019 at about 22:00 during a quarrel on personal matters 20 year-old young man stabbed 46 year-old man for numerous times on different parts of his body and killed him. In order to conceal the crime traces he set the house and the body on fire.

A criminal case was initiated in Stepanavan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 and the Points 1 and 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 185 of RA Criminal Code.

During preliminary investigation urgent investigatory and procedural actions were conducted, including external inspection of body during which numerous cut-pierced injuries were found.

In the result of investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Lori, born in 1999. The latter was arrested.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
