A criminal case was initiated in Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on murder of the resident of the village of Ptghni, 34 year-old Arsen Azizyan. In the result of investigatory and procedural measures the circumstances and the motive of murder were found, the suspect was arrested.

According to data of preliminary investigation, the 34 year-old man was killed on August 27, 2015 at about 08:00 by the fellow-villager. The person having committed the apparent crime fired shots with a factory production firearm of “AKA” type and killed Arsen Azizyan who was standing at the fish farm located in Ptghni canyon at 300 meters’ distance from him.

On August 27, 2015 a criminal case was initiated in Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.

21 bullets of 5.45 mm caliber were found in Ptghni canyon at 300 m distance from the pool which belonged to the victim, coagulated bloodlike traces were found at the pool, three traces of gunshot were found on the white stones beside the pool and a transit gunshot trace was found on the tree trunk of about 10 cm diameter in front of the pool, two bullets of hunting gun, as well as one hunting gun were found at the security post of the fish farm.

The suspect was arrested. During the inspection at which he was present, as well, he represented the factory production firearm of “AKA” type charged with 19 combat bullets, one bullet box of “AKA” type charged with 29 combat bullets, one box of bullets, as well as 275 bullets of 5.45 mm caliber.

6 firearm injuries were found on the body, two of them were on the elbow of the left hand, two of them were on the left shoulder, one was on the center of the right part of the chest and the other was at the central part of the back.
