A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on murder of Heghine Darbazyan born in 1977. In the result of investigatory and procedural actions the motive of murder was found, the person having committed the apparent crime was identified.

According to preliminary investigation data on September 27, 2015 at about 14:45 in the stall of curtain sales near 84/8 Malatia Street, Yerevan H. Darbazyan was stabbed numerous times with a hunting knife by her ex-husband. The woman died of the bodily injuries at the site.

A criminal case was initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code.

Through the inspection of the site two knives and a scabbard were found on which there were blood-like traces. The suspect was arrested and gave testimony on the circumstances and motive of murder.

Preliminary investigation is under way.
