A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on 60 year-old man's murder in Yerevan.

On May 14, 2018 the body of G. Matosyan, born in 1958, with septic changes and multiple fractures on facial skull bones was found in the neighborhood of one of the houses of Aygestan of the city of Yerevan.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code, an investigatory plan was worked out, working hypotheses were put forward and necessary measures are taken to verify them.

The appropriate subdivision of the police was tasked to take active measures to identify the person having committed the alleged crime and bring him to the investigative body.

Preliminary investigation is under way.
