Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated on murder, murder attempt committed in Ejmiatsin on August 18, 2022 was completed on the part of one person in Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

On August 18, 2022 at 23:25 a report was received informing that two 27 year-old men with firearm injuries had been taken to Vagharshapat medical center, one of them died in hospital without regaining consciousness.

In the result of necessary investigative and procedural actions circumstances of the case were found out, among them the scene, the motive, the frame of those involved in the incident, the persons having committed the alleged crime were identified, their actions were personalized and given criminal legal assessment.

Particularly, through investigation it was found out that in the period preceding the incident a group of young men from Ejmiatsin argued with a 21 year-old fellow townsman during which one of those involved, with a nickname “Karateist Hapet”, 43 year-old resident of Ejmiatsin H.K. beat the latter about which the young man informed his 27 year-old brother. In response to violence used against his brother, the latter beat the mentioned H.K.

Some days after the incident the friends of the arguing parties were also informed about the argument who tried to reconcile the parties, however they couldn’t and the argument turned into conflict between two groups. In order to regulate it the mentioned persons turned to A.M. known as “Ujanik” and E.M. known as “Grizli”.

Going on with the aggressive behavior 27 year-old man with his friend again met H.K. who had beaten his brother and A.M. and during the argument which erupted during the meeting again beat them. Not bearing the behavior towards them the latters decided to revenge on 27 year-old man.

Out of revenge for the tense relations formed after being beaten by 27 year-old man and the latter’s friend, A.M. planned with his friends the plan to illegally deprive the fellow townsman of life in a house rented in advance and made role distribution. Pursuant to it, the car of “Opel” make would have driven by himself, A.B. known as “Mad” would have guarded the area, E.M. would have realized the plan of illegal deprivation of 27 year-old man’s life. Then on August 18, 2022 they went to Ejmiatsin in a car of “Opel” make where they ambushed and waited for 27 year-old man.

At about 21:10 when 27 year-old man got to the crossroad of “Tumanyan-Abovyan Streets of Ejmiatsin town in the car of “Mercedes” make driven by his friend, in front of a house located in the mentioned street M. fired shots towards the car of “Mercedes” make from a rifle of “AK” model kept by him illegally in a way dangerous for many people’s life. As a result, the driver of the mentioned car, 27 year-old man’s friend, receiving firearm injury incompatible with life, died in hospital and 27 year-old man received heavy bodily injury. However, the doctors could save his life.

In the result of investigative actions as well as operative-intelligence measures taken by the employees of the relevant subdivision of the RA Police, the car of “Mercedes” make was found in Knunyants Street of Ejmiatsin crashed to the cars parked on the side of the road. Through inspection blood-like traces were found in the mentioned car, more than a dozen of firearm damages were found on the car which were the result of the shots fired in Tumanyan Street of Ejmiatsin, according to the data obtained through investigation.

Then those having committed the alleged crime, in order to conceal the crime, burnt the car of “Opel” make at the area next to the memorial called “Chapel” located on Ejmiatsin-Armavir road. Through inspection a burnt rifle, fired capsules, bullet ball, not fired bullets were found in the car.

On the base of the obtained facts charge was pressed against A.M. according to the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 46-155, the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 46-44-155 and the Part 1 of the Article 335 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him. Preliminary investigation on the latter’s part was completed and the materials of the criminal proceeding with the bill of indictment were sent to court.

Criminal prosecution was initiated against A.B. according to the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 155, the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 44-155 and the Part 1 of the Article 335 of RA Criminal Code and against E.M. – according to the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 46-155, the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 46-44-155 and the Part 1 of the Article 335 of RA Criminal Code.

The part on them was separated in a separate proceeding, search was declared and detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against them.

Necessary operative-intelligence and operative-searching measures are taken to find the mentioned persons and to bring them to the investigative body.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
