Investigation is conducted in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out circumstances of organizing smuggling of narcotic drugs in particularly large amount and attempt of illegal turnover of narcotic drugs without the purpose of sale. Charge was pressed against one person.

In the result of measures taken jointly by the employees of the Police and National Security Service on March 28, 2019 at 15:00 the resident of Yerevan, born in 1997, was apprehended on suspicion of procuring, keeping and using narcotic drugs.

Through the young man's personal search 4 yellow-greenish pills were found in the parcel sent from Germany which he had received from the post office.

Pursuant to the results of forensic material examination the mentioned pills were narcotic drugs of «MDMA» type of 2.18 grams.

On March 28, 2019 a criminal case was initiated in the Police according to the Part 3 of the Article 268 and the Point 1 of the Part 4 of the Article 267.1 of RA Criminal Code preliminary investigation of which is conducted in the RA IC Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department.

Charge was pressed against the young man, born in 1997, according to the Point 1 of the Part 4 of the Article 38-267.1 and the Part 3 of the Article 34-268 of RA Criminal Code.

The investigator submitted a motion to use detention as a pretrial measure against him. The motion was sufficed and at the same the court found it permissible to use mortgage as an optional pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to find out the source of procurement of narcotic drugs, to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation.
