39 year-old resident of Berd town wanted within the criminal case investigated on murder of 27 year-old resident of Berd of Tavush province yesterday evening turned himself to Berd Investigative Division of Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

The investigator submitted a motion to court to reconfirm detention as a pretrial measure chosen against 39 year-old man.

It was earlier informed that on December 31, 2018 27 year-old resident of Berd died of firearm injury he had sustained on the frontal part of the head.

A criminal case was initiated in Berd Investigative Division of Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of urgent investigatory and operative-searching measures a number of circumstances were found out, data were obtained on the person having committed the alleged crime.

Through preliminary investigation actual data were obtained on the allegation that 27 year-old young man had been caused the bodily injuries incompatible with life by the resident of the same province, born in 1979.

On the base of the evidence obtained through preliminary investigation on December 31, 2018 charge was pressed against 39 year-old man according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Forensic medical examination of the body was commissioned. Through inspection of the scene a hunting gun capsule of 12 mm caliber, blood-like traces were found.

Searches were conducted as prescribed by law. Through search of the apartment of the person having committed the alleged crime the clothes the latter was wearing at the moment of the incident and an armchair cover with blood like traces were found.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
