In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances, motive of stabbing father and son Petrosyans in the village of Paraqar were found, the person having committed the apparent crime was identified.
 

On March 7 a call was received from “Vagharshapat” medical center informing that Vardan Petrosyan, born in 1997, with a diagnoses of “cut-pierced penetrating wound on the chest” and his father Armen Vardanyan, born in 1972, with a diagnoses of “cut-pierced penetrating wound on the chest with lung injury” were taken to medical center.
 

In the result of measures taken in the framework of the criminal case the place where Petrosyans had been inflicted bodily injuries, the circumstances were found and on the base of the prepared materials a criminal case was initiated in Armavir Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 and the Part 3 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code.
 

According to preliminary investigation data, on March 7, 2016 at about 16:00 in front of a shop in the village of Paraqar of Armavir the resident of Yerevan S. Atabekyan, under the influence of alcohol, roughly violated public order and in order to emphasize his advantages shouted and argued with the residents of Paraqar village, father and son Petrosyans. During the argument another person willfully stabbed father and son Petrosyans with a cutting-piercing item inflicting heavy bodily damage. Through investigation the person who had inflicted heavy bodily damage was identified; he is a resident of Yerevan E. Hovhannisyan.
 

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against S. Atabekyan according to the Part 2 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code (hooliganism combined with violence against a person). Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.  
 

On March 17, 2016 the investigator made a decision to involve E. Hovhannisyan as a defendant according to the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him and search was declared.
 

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing. The relevant subdivisions of the Police were tasked to take measures to find the person under persecution and bring him the investigative body.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
