In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee 27 year-old young man wanted for murder of 64 year-old Gagik Hovhannisyan was detained.

On November 30, 2017 a man’s body with cut-pierced bodily injuries was found in one of the flats in Yerevan. The investigatory-operative group headed by the Head of the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts Artur Goyunyan immediately left for the site. The dead person was identified; he is Gagik Hovhannisyan, born in 1953, a resident of the same house.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code, an investigatory group was formed, an investigatory plan was worked out.

In the result of urgent investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case it was found that the man had sustained the bodily injuries incompatible with life during the argument that took place in the yard after which he came home, actual data were obtained on the motive of argument, the identity of the person having committed the alleged crime. Search was conducted in the latter’s flat where bloody clothes were found.

On the base of the obtained evidence a decision was made to involve 27 year-old young man as a defendant and search was declared against him.

The latter turned himself to the investigative body and was detained. The accused gave testimony, presented the knife which was the crime tool. Investigatory experimentation was conducted with his participation.

Necessary actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of all circumstances of the case.
