Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on forging institute diploma was completed in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee. Charge was pressed against the deputy head of a division in the “Dilijan National Park” SNCO.

It was earlier informed that in February, 2019 the engineer of “Dilijan National Park” SNCO of the RA Ministry of Nature Protection, submitting a copy of false diploma on graduation from Armenian Agricultural Institute in 1993 with profession of “agricultural mechanization” and qualification of engineer-mechanic to HR Department, was appointed in the position of deputy head of a division in the mentioned organization.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Department of the RA National Security Service according to the Part 1 of the Article 325 of RA Criminal Code preliminary investigation of which was conducted in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases.

In the result of investigatory actions conducted during pretrial proceeding a number of circumstances of the case, the way the document had been forged were found out.

Particularly, not having a higher education and learning that deputy head of a division of “Dilijan National Park” SNCO was going to quit the position and it was necessary to have higher education in nature protection sphere or other spheres related to it to be appointed in this position, the engineer intended to make a false diploma and use it with the purpose of holding the position.

In order to carry out his intention on February 11, 2019 he submitted an application to the SNCO director then made notes in the autobiography and personal leaflet about graduating from Armenian Agricultural Institute.

Then by removing through computer the data available in another person’s diploma on graduation from Armenian Agricultural Institute in 1993 with profession of “agricultural mechanization” and qualification of engineer-mechanic he added his data with a hand, copied and made an official document - diploma and submitted its copy to HR Department. As a result, on the base of it by the order of SNCO director he was appointed in the position of deputy head of the division of the same organization.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the man according to the Part 1 of the Article 325 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.
