Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on violent sexual actions committed against a girl under fourteen was completed in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. 34 year-old man was detained.

It was earlier informed that on July 20, 2019 a resident of Yerevan called Mashtots Police Division and told that the father of his 10 year-old daughter's friend, born in 1985, committed sexual actions against his daughter in one of the apartments of the house nearby.

Through preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on the incident a number of circumstances of the case were found out.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 34 year-old man according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 139 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
