In the result of large-scale investigative and other procedural actions conducted in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of murder of 82 year-old resident of Yerevan were found out.

Pursuant to factual data obtained through investigation, for the purpose of illegal deprivation of the old woman’s life through banditry, on February 8, 2021 at 11:22 44 year-old resident of Yerevan went to the latter’s house located in Noragavit district of Yerevan and entered the house with her permission. While he was in the house, for the purpose of stealing the old woman’s property, he attacked the latter and stabbed her for numerous times on her chin, neck and other parts of her body causing bodily injuries incompatible with life. Then 44 year-old man stole the old woman’s money – 66.000 AMD and left.

Besides, the man illegally procured two bullets of factory production of 5,45mm/5,45x39 and  9mm /9x18 caliber, kept them illegally which were found by the police employees through his personal search.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 44 year-old man according to the Point 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.
