Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on inflicting 18 year-old resident of Kurtan village heavy bodily damage completed
Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on inflicting heavy bodily damage to 18 year-old H. Araqelyan was completed in Lori Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee.
By the evidence obtained through preliminary investigation it was found that on January 17, 2015 D. Nerkararyan, taking hunting knife in advance which is classified into the category of cold weapon, together with his friends was hosted in the house of one of the fellow villagers, where he had dinner during which they drank vodka.
Through investigation it was found that one of the participants of dinner and D. Nerkararyan bet on 10 bottles of beer and the latter lost. The winner got interested when he was going to buy the bottles of beer and Nerkararyan objected to buying them. Thus, a row erupted between D. Nerkararyan and another participant of dinner.
Then with the purpose of continuing the argument they went to the area called “The area of Zavod” located at the end of the village. According to the investigation data D. Nerkararyan, taking the hunting knife out of his waist, stabbed at the left part of his classmate’s chest willfully inflicting him heavy bodily damage dangerous for life.
On the base of the evidence obtained during pretrial proceeding D. Nerkararyan was charged according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 and the Part 4 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.
The criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation. The bill of indictment was confirmed and the case was sent to the Court of First Instance of Lori.
