Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on illegal procurement and keeping of weapon and ammunition by the resident of Berd, Hrant Ananyan was completed in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee.

Through preliminary investigation it was grounded that H. Ananyan illegally procured and carried a homemade rifle like “PM” (Makarov) type, serving as a firearm, as well as combat bullets of 9 mm (9X18 PM) caliber of factory production provided for the rifles of “PM” and “APS” type, serving as ammunition, which were found with the latter on July 10, 2015 during the personal search conducted in Central Station of RA Police.

On the base of the evidence obtained during pretrial proceeding charge was pressed against H. Ananyan according to the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.

Detention was used as a pretrial measure against H. Ananyan.

+The criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
