Resident of Abovyan Town Charged with Hindrance to Administration of Justice and Conduction of Investigation, Using Violence against Representative of Authorities Detained
Within the criminal case investigated in Abovyan Investigative Division of Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on using violence against the representative of authorities, hindrance to administration of justice and conduction of investigation charge was pressed against the resident of Abovyan town. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
It was earlier informed that on August 2, 2019 with the intend to conceal the car of “Range Rover” make with traces of crime from investigation, as well as to hinder the investigator to conduct inspection of the scene the man, born in 1976, not obeying RA Police officers’ legal demands not to get into the car and not to move it, got into the mentioned car and driving it towards the police officer escaped from the scene.
A criminal case was initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 316 and the Part 2 of the Article 332 of RA Criminal Code.
During preliminary investigation the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Abovyan town, born in 1976. In the result of a number of investigatory actions and operative-intelligence as well as operative-searching measures the latter was found and arrested on suspicion of using violence against the representative of authorities and hindrance to administration of justice and conduction of investigation. The car of “Range Rover” make was also found.
On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against him according to the Part 1 of the Article 316 and the Part 2 of the Article 332 of RA Criminal Code. The investigator submitted a motion to court to choose detention as a pretrial measure against him. It was sufficed.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
