Resident of Aragatsotn Province Detained for Committing Violent Sexual Actions against his Juvenile Son
Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on committing violent sexual actions by 59 year-old resident of Aragatsotn province against his juvenile son was completed in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee.
Through preliminary investigation it was found out that in August 2019 and March 2020 59 year-old man, threatening to use violence, committed violent sexual actions against his juvenile son, born in 2004.
On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 59 year-old man according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 139 (violent sexual actions) of RA Criminal Code (3 counts). Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
