In the result of investigative and other procedural actions conducted within the criminal case initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of murder of 30 year-old resident of Gyumri were found out.

The call on the mentioned case was received on March 16, 2022 at 19:29 from Gyumri’s ambulance station pursuant to which a young man’s body was found in the municipal landfill of Gyumri. The ambulance brigade left for the scene based on the call of 59 year-old resident of Gyumri who told that he had found the mentioned body while searching colorful metals in the municipal landfill of Bulvarain district.

Through inspection of the body cut-pierced wound was found on the left thigh, a scratch wound was found on the right part of the occipit and scratches – on the right thigh.

In the result of urgent measures taken during preliminary investigation the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is the above-mentioned 59 year-old resident of Gyumri.

Pursuant to data obtained through investigation, on March 9, 2022 at about 16:30 the latter met 30 year-old fellow-citizen in Gyumri’s municipal landfill and a row on collecting metal erupted between them during which 59 year-old man stabbed 30 year-old man on his left thigh. Then when the latter threatened to revenge 59 year-old man hit with stones. As a result, the adjacent mound collapsed and filled on 30 year-old man. Regretting about what he had done after a while 59 year-old man called for help and with the help of those who had come took out the fellow-citizen from under the soil but the latter was dead.

During the investigative experimentation conducted with participation of 59 year-old resident of Gyumri the knife which was the instrument of the crime was found and confiscated.

The latter was arrested.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
