Serviceman wounded by shot fired by enemy died; investigation conducted
On January 15, 2017 at 23:30 serviceman Garik Vardanyan, who on December 30, 2016 at about 14:50 had sustained firearm injury on the left cheek, the back surface of the neck in the result of the shot fired by the enemy towards the combat base of protection area of the unit N, died in central military hospital of the RA Ministry of Defense.
The latter with a diagnosis of transient firearm injury on the left cheek, back surface of the neck – cerebral coma was accepted in the intensive care unit of central military hospital of the RA Ministry of Defense from military hospital of Martuni on December 31, 2016.
Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on 31.12.2016 on murder attempt out of motives of national, race and religious hate or fanatism is ongoing in the First Garrison Investigative Unit.
