A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on shots fired in Alaverdi on the morning of May 19, 2016 in the result of which one person was killed, another was taken to medical center with firearm injury.
 

According to initial data on May 19 at 04:30 in the yard of the house 22, Z. Andranik Street, Alaverdi the person having committed the apparent crime fired shots towards Eduard Poghosyan and Vardan Avagyan with the intend to kill them. In the result of the injuries V. Avagyan died at the site, Eduard Poghosyan was taken to medical center with firearm bleeding injury on the upper part of the left arm.
 

Investigatory-operative group headed by the Head of Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee T. Shushanyan left for the site.
 

A criminal case was initiated according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.
 

A decision has been made by the Head of Lori Regional Investigative Department to create an investigatory group, working hypotheses have been worked out and urgent investigatory actions are conducted to verify them.
 

Forensic medical, complex ballistic, forensic trace, forensic biological, forensic chemical and micro particles examinations were commissioned, decisions were made to find Vardan Avagyan and Eduard Poghosyan injured party. Relevant subdivisions of the police were tasked to find the person having committed the apparent crime, as well as a number of circumstances significant for the criminal case.
