Stabbing Committed by 22 Year-Old Young Man Disclosed
In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee stabbing apparently committed by 22 year-old young man was disclosed. Charge was pressed against the latter.
On January 1, 2020 at 08:50 a call was received in the RA Police Division of Nor Nork from “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” medical center informing that 23 year-old resident of Yerevan with a diagnosis of “cut wound on lumber region” was taken to the mentioned medical center.
A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.
Pursuant to data obtained through investigation, on January 1, 2020 from 04:00 to 06:00 during the argument on greeting one another by hugging that took place near a garage located at one of the houses of the 5th massive of Nor Nork, Yerevan 22 year-old young man stabbed his acquaintance – 23 year-old resident of Yerevan causing heavy bodily damage to the latter’s health.
On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against 22 year-old young man according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
A number of investigatory actions, including inspection of the scene were conducted, the knife which was the crime tool was taken.
Forensic medical and forensic genetic examinations were commissioned.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
